Elizabeth “Biz” Reilly is an Assistant State’s Attorney at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Illinois, a position she has held for 4 years. Biz is currently assigned to the Felony Review Unit and has been for the past year. Biz was hired by the State’s Attorney’s Office in 2018 after graduating from Chicago Kent School of Law and has held positions in the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Unit handling misdemeanors and felonies, the Child Advocacy and Protection Unit handling criminal sexual assault cases against children, and the Criminal Appeals Unit. Biz is a member of the National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Bar Association. Gavin also holds the position of Secretary as part of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office’s LGBT+ Employee Resource Group and has previously held the Social Chair/Community Engagement Chair for the Employee Resource Group.
