Rachel See recently concluded five years of service as the Board President of the National Center for Transgender Equality. Rachel speaks frequently on LGBT issues, and has conducted transgender inclusion and competency training at numerous federal agencies and other organizations. She has provided pro bono legal advice to many transgender individuals regarding identity documents and other legal issues, and in 2014, she was named one of the “Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40” by the National LGBT Bar Association.
As a senior attorney in the federal government, Rachel leads initiatives emphasizing the applicability of our civil rights laws in the growing field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. She has been recognized as an advocate for digital transformation and a thought leader regarding the use of cutting-edge technology in complex litigation.
Before entering government service, Rachel was a partner at Williams Mullen in Richmond, Virginia, and an associate at Seyfarth Shaw in Chicago. Rachel received her undergraduate degree from Yale University and her law degree from the Duke University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Ohio. An accomplished classical musician, she regularly performs with the Symphony of the Potomac in Silver Spring, Maryland, as well as other ensembles in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
