Will there be a Career Fair at the 2020 Lavender Law Conference?<\/h4>\n

Absolutely! Lavender Law wouldn\u2019t be Lavender Law without our extensive Career Fair featuring the top firms, corporations, nonprofits, and government agencies from around the United States. Our 2020 Virtual Career Fair is on Friday, August 14th from 2 pm to 6 pm Eastern Time.<\/p>\n

Can you tell me more about what a Virtual Career Fair will look like?<\/h4>\n

Delighted to! The National LGBT Bar Association looked far and wide to find a virtual platform that incorporates extensive information about each firm, the ability to ask questions privately through chat, and to conduct interviews on video, and that has the look and feel of an actual in-person conference. We\u2019re happy to say we found it.<\/p>\n

Each recruiting organization will have a virtual booth, staffed by recruiters, that students and laterals can visit. Recruiters will also receive a list of everyone who visits the booth for easy follow-up. I\u2019m a sponsor – when can I see the platform and begin designing our recruiting booth?<\/h4>\n

Our online platform will open the second half of July; please keep an eye out for updates! Each firm will be sent login information. We will also offer training and have a team of staff ready to assist you. If you have any questions please email developmentstaff@lgbtqbar.org<\/a> or call us at (202) 637-7663. Our top goal is to assist you and make sure you have an incredible experience at the 2020 Lavender Law Conference and Career Fair.<\/p>\n

Will the virtual recruiting booths remain online after August 14th?<\/h4>\n

Yes! We are thrilled to say that the links, videos, and other materials in the recruiting booths will remain active for Lavender Law registrants through December 31, 2020. While the booths will not be staffed after August 14th, all materials will remain viewable. This allows recruiters and job seekers to remain in contact for many months after the conference ends.<\/p>\n

What if I am unable to chat with everyone who \u2018stops by\u2019 my booth?<\/h4>\n

The platform performs a lot of tasks on your behalf: if someone joins your queue to meet you face to face, but due to another ongoing conversation you can\u2019t speak with them, you will still have their contact info. The platform records everyone who visits you!<\/p>\n

I\u2019m a recruiting sponsor – will I receive the same value for my sponsorships as in years past?<\/h4>\n

Indeed, you will receive more from your sponsorship than in years past! As of June 14th, eight weeks before the 2020 Career Fair, more students are registered than ever before in the history of Lavender Law<\/span>. Without the barrier of travel and lodging, students from every corner of the United States are registering in 2020. Your booth and sponsorship information will stay up and live for our on-demand program viewers to see through the end of the calendar year; there are many new and exciting branding opportunities to highlight your firm to our attendees.<\/p>\n
