On Thursday, December 1, the LGBTQ+ Bar hosted a call-in, co-sponsored by HNBA and NAPABA, addressing the increased risk of deportation as a result of the change in administration. The most vulnerable among us are the most frequent targets of attacks, especially following the nationalistic and hateful rhetoric of this campaign season. The United States currently hosts more than eleven million undocumented workers, who provide an irreplaceable work force.

The LGBTQ+ Bar is searching for volunteers, both Spanish speaking and non-Spanish speaking, willing to provide assistance to women and children fleeing from persecution that are now being detained at the family detention center in Dilley, TX.
