Ari is enthusiastic about health care access. They grew up in Washington and graduated from The Evergreen State College then spent some years managing a bar in Montreal, QC before returning for law school in 2015. Ari is no stranger to the challenges in accessing gender affirming care. After several bumps in the road, they were able to use Medicaid to cover their own gender affirming care. Along the way, they became an ACLU plaintiff in the case Robbins v. Swedish. They are currently a government attorney, not presenting in their official capacity, living in West Seattle with their partner and two babies under two.
