Stephen Kulp (he/him) is an associate at Tucker Law Group in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is an accomplished litigator and manages complex civil litigation matters for a variety of sectors, including the transportation and logistics, construction, and retail and hospitality industries. He is the first openly LGBTQ+ attorney of color to serve on the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association and the first Asian American Chair of the Philadelphia LGBTQ Bar Association. He also co-chairs the Asian American Adoptee committee of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and serves as Co-Chair of the Affiliate Congress of and Board Member of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association. He tirelessly advocates for the communities of which he is a part, and his leadership blazes a trail for others to follow. He brings awareness to the importance of intersectionality and is vocal about it. Stephen has also lobbied for policy matters including the Adoptee Citizenship Act and, at a district attorney town hall hosted by the LGBTQ Bar Association of Philadelphia, he advocated for banning the LGBTQ+ panic defense. In 2021, he was awarded Drexel University’s ‘Best 40 Under 40’ Award, for his contributions to the community. He was also awarded an esteemed International Association of LGBTQ+ Judges ‘Friendship and Ally’ Award for his pro bono contributions, which included producing a video to celebrate the life of Judge Paul Feinman of the New York Court of Appeals.
