Fauzia Zaman-Malik is the Market Unit Legal Director for the Northeast and is responsible for legal support for all sales and delivery opportunities, clients and projects across the Northeast. She has responsibility to ensure that we are appropriately managing legal and commercial risks across our Northeast practice and offerings. Fauzia is also the North America Legal Lead for Strategic Sales/Market Maker.

Prior to her current role, Fauzia was the Legal Lead for the Health and Public Services Operating Unit in North America. As part of this role, Fauzia oversaw a team of legal professionals supporting legal, contracting and regulatory risks specific to clients or projects involving healthcare payer and healthcare provider clients, US State & Local government clients and Canadian Federal and Provincial government clients. She was also the Global Legal Lead for Accenture’s Offerings in the Health Industry.

Fauzia joined Accenture in 2003 from a private law firm now known as DLA Piper. Since joining other roles she has held while at Accenture include: Contracting Counsel for the Products and FS NA OUs, General Legal for IDC HR, Facilities and Services and GS Functions and Regulatory Counsel for Accenture’s FS Insurance BPO offerings (AIS).

Fauzia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa at Iowa City. She is licensed to practice law in Minnesota, Illinois and New York.  Fauzia lives in Brooklyn, New York. In her free time, Fauzia enjoys hiking (and will take a day hike in Prospect Park any day), the visual arts and performances and some good books to read. She has a 10 year old pit bull mix canine child ☺. She also has 7 nephews and 2 nieces that keep her engaged and on her toes over the course of various holidays!
