Carly Helman is an associate at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath, supporting health care and life science clients in transactional, regulatory, and compliance matters. They are a member of the firm’s Health and Life Science Industry Team’s Innovation Hub, where they work to foster and develop innovative ideas and services that respond to emerging needs in health care. In addition to their health and life sciences work, they are a leader in the firm’s LGBTQ+ Resource Group and an active member of the firm’s Diversity Collective. Carly is a 2020 graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law. As a student, they led the Cultural Impact Initiative, a student group dedicated to making law school more navigable for traditionally underrepresented communities in the legal profession. They also co-taught Professional Identity Formation, a mandatory 1L class that helps students reckon with implicit bias as a central part of building competency as a lawyer.
