Christopher R. Riano is the Executive Director for the nation’s Center for Civic Education, and a Lecturer in Constitutional Law and Government at Columbia University.  He is the co-author with Professor William N. Eskridge, Jr. of “Marriage Equality: From Outlaws to In-Laws,” which is forthcoming from Yale University Press in August, 2020.  Previously, Riano served as Assistant Counsel to the Governor of New York for Education, Arts, and Constitutional Law, as the General Counsel of the New York State Liquor Authority, and as a Partner at Drohan Lee LLP.
