Jamar Walker is an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, Criminal Division, where he prosecutes financial crimes and public corruption cases. Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Jamar was a litigation associate at Covington & Burling LLP in Washington, DC. He began his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Raymond A. Jackson on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. In 2020, Jamar was a recipient of the LGBT Bar’s 40 Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40 Award. He received a B.A., with Distinction, in Political Philosophy, Policy, and Law from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
