Stephen Kulp (he/him/his) is a litigation associate at a small defense firm in Philadelphia, PA, where he manages high exposure lawsuits in all stages of civil litigation, including trials and appeals. Stephen’s non-litigation practice includes advising insurance carriers, corporations, and private clients on risk, estate planning, and residential real estate. Stephen is a committed advocate of equality, opportunity, and diversity within the legal profession and volunteers his time building bridges between the communities he intersects. In December, Stephen’s peers at the Philadelphia LGBTQ Bar Association elected him as Chair of the organization, the first AAPI and person of color to be elected into the Chair’s office since the organization’s formation in 1986. As Chair, Stephen oversees the organization’s board of directors and six committees whose purpose is to advocate, raise awareness and promote the LGBTQ+ community through education, promotion, and pro bono work.
