Courtney Bryson is the legal intern for the National LGBTQ+ Bar, performing legal research, administrative tasks, and varied other support to the Programs team. As a rising 2L law student at Gonzaga University School of Law, they serve as president of PrideLaw, the LGBTQ+ law student org., and research assistant to Dr. Danielle Wingfield-Smith in the field of Constitutional Law. In the fall, they will be working at the Lincoln LGBTQ+ Rights Clinic as a law student to help facilitate advocacy and promote reforms that support those who are marginalized and underserved because of their LGBTQ+ identity. They bring years of service for a variety of non-profits across a broad spectrum of advocacy, from environmental justice to music education outreach. In their identity as a non-binary lesbian, they hope to engage from a place of empathy and humility. In all areas, Courtney hopes to actively challenge systems of inequity targeting marginalized and harmed individuals and communities through intersectional community collaboration and skill-share. Their goal post law-school is an intentional, harm-reductionist, trauma-informed practice of law. 

 A classically trained mezzo-soprano, Courtney received their B.A. in Music-Vocal Studies with a minor in Government and Public Policy from the University of Arizona. When not outdoors pulling on Arizona granite or searching for other climbing around the southwest with their partner, they enjoy singing and performing locally with friends’ bands, finding the perfect oatmilk-to-espresso ratio in their cappuccino, and creating new recipes for group meals with their cherished community.
