Amy Crawford is the Deputy Chief of the Civil Actions Bureau of the Cook County (IL) State’s Attorney’s Office. Before that, she was a litigation partner at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP, where her pro bono focus was on LGBTQ rights. Between two stints at Kirkland, she clerked for Judge Philip Simon of the Northern District of Indiana and spent six months working on the 2008 Obama campaign. In 2015, she ran for Alderman on the North Side of Chicago. Before law school, she worked in corporate finance and nonprofit fundraising. She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Chicago Law School.
