Emily works in the Labor and Employment group, specializing in discrimination, retaliation, and compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws and regulations. Emily is a first-generation legal professional. Before entering law, she worked in as an actress and director in live theatre for 10 years. She received a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of South Carolina and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law. While in law school, Emily served as national co-chair of the LGBT Bar Association’s Law Student Congress, director of the UVA Libel Show, and she sat on the executive board of the Virginia Journal of International Law.
