Gavin Quinn is an Assistant State’s Attorney at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, a position he has held for almost 5 years. Gavin is currently assigned to the Cook County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force within the Child Advocacy and Protection Unit handling primarily child pornography and internet child sexual exploitation cases throughout Cook County, IL. Prior to this assignment, Gavin has held positions in the Felony Review Unit, the Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Unit, the Criminal Appeals Unit, and the Financial Crimes/Public Corruption Unit. Gavin was hired by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in 2016 upon graduating from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Gavin received his BA in Criminology, Law, and Justice from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Gavin is a member of the National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Bar Association and a board member of LAGBAC – Chicago’s LGBTQ+ Bar Association. Gavin also holds the position of President as part of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office’s LGBT+ Employee Resource Group.
