In this workshop, attendees will learn robust alternative methods to accomplish effective LGBTQ+ Civil Rights work in unfavorable jurisdictions, states and courts. Panelists will discuss how to develop new viewpoints for identifying, creating, and implementing comprehensive long-term strategies to ensure full and lived equality for your clients, regardless of where you are doing the work. We will work to develop a deeper understanding of how your perspective may be limiting your ability to think creatively on behalf of your clients’ best interests prior to, during, and after the litigation process. We will discuss how to deal effectively with uncertainty, and develop a willingness to think outside of the box when representing LGBTQ+ clients in hostile environments.
