LGBTQ+ Bar membership is open to all legal professionals and law students without regard to age, race, religion, gender, color, national origin, ancestry, disability, political affiliation, sexual orientation or gender identity. The LGBTQ+ Bar actively seeks the involvement of individuals from every segment of our diverse community, and particularly welcomes the participation of people of color and persons with disabilities.

These communities include Family Law, Trust & Estate Planning, Law Professors and Legal Scholars, Patent Law, and Corporate Counsel.
Outstanding CLE at a Reasonable Cost
As a member, you will receive discounted registration to attend the annual Lavender Law® Conference and Career Fair, which includes over 40 workshops available for continuing legal education (CLE) credit in approved jurisdictions. The LGBTQ+ Bar also periodically offers video and audio programs available for CLE credit.

The LGBTQ+ Bar hosts events like the Lavender Law® Conference and Career Fair, Out & Proud Corporate Counsel Award receptions and the Allies for Justice Award receptions, which provide unique opportunities to honor esteemed colleagues and network with LGBTQ+ legal professionals and law students.
Participate in our Committees and Working Groups
One of the many benefits of an LGBTQ+ Bar membership is the opportunity to be part of the action! Volunteering on a committee or working group is a great way to join colleagues with whom you share interests and work responsibilities. Committee work provides an ideal way to get involved in the work of the LGBTQ+ Bar as well as opportunities for networking and for sharing information, ideas and best practices.

*The National LGBTQ+ Bar Association is a non-profit trade association exempt from income tax pursuant to Internal Code Section 501(c)(6).
**FLI dues are based on income: Income level $30,000 to $50,000 has a dues rate of $35.00. Income level $50,000 to $70,000 has a dues rate of $50.00. Income level of over $75,000 has a dues rate of $75.00. Income level of under $30,000 has a dues rate of $20.00. Special Discount for Members of LGBTQ+ Bar Affiliates!
Members of the LGBTQ+ Bar’s Affiliates may join the LGBTQ+ Bar or renew their membership dues at 50% off the standard dues rate. Please contact your affiliate for the discount code.
Members of the LGBTQ+ Bar also receive a discounted rate for a subscription to the Tulane Journal of Law & Sexuality. Please contact programs@lgbtqbar.org for more information.
