Following the Trump administration’s issuance of an executive order targeting health care for transgender youth, the Department of Justice opened investigations aimed at eliminating health care for trans people 19 years old and under. In this suit, several states and the District of Columbia claim the Trump administration is violating states rights by investigating trans health care systems in individual states. The plaintiffs are requesting injunctive relief, because “[n]one of the administration’s actions challenged by this suit have any legal basis. They should be declared unlawful and vacated in their entirety.”
