    Nona Lee

    May 7, 2020

Nona Lee is the Founder and CEO of Truth DEI Consulting, a consulting firm helping organizations determine current and future growth opportunities and strategies in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion. Ms. Lee consults with organizational leadership teams about their current DEI truth and provides education and strategies to execute growth and transformative change. Before founding Truth DEI in 2022, Ms. Lee served in leadership roles in the professional sports industry for more than 22 years, including as executive vice president and chief legal officer for the Arizona Diamondbacks Major League Baseball franchise. She led the organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts from 2020 to 2022. Previously, also served as vice president and associate general counsel for the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and Arizona Rattlers. Ms. Lee is the founder of the Phoenix Women’s Sports Association, an Arizona nonprofit organization that helps girls and women find their power through sports. In addition, she has served on the board of the Women’s Sports Foundation in New York, a nonprofit organization founded by tennis icon Billie Jean King that promotes women and girls in sports, and currently serves as part of the Trustee Emeritus Group for the Women’s Sports Foundation.  Prior to joining the sports industry, Ms. Lee practiced law at two Phoenix-based firms: Gallagher & Kennedy, specializing in corporate transactions and securities, and Meyer Hendricks, focusing on commercial litigation, personal injury and medical malpractice.  Ms. Lee received a BA in Broadcasting from Pepperdine University, a JD — summa cum laude — from Oklahoma City University School of Law, a certificate in leadership for corporate counsel from Harvard University, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion certification from e-Cornell University.
