Jake Christensen (he/him) is a senior counsel at Zoom. He leads the company’s global regulatory reporting compliance across more than 40 countries and supports the litigation and customer disputes, FTC, marketing legal, corporate, and internal investigations teams.
Prior to joining Zoom, Jake spent nearly six years as a complex litigation and regulatory associate at ArentFox Schiff LLP, where his practice focused on white-collar defense, complex commercial litigation, and representing technology and financial services companies facing state and federal investigation. He led the San Francisco office’s pro bono committee and maintained a robust pro bono practice focused on advocating for the LGBTQ+, immigrant, and small business communities. He received the Albert E. Arent Pro Bono Award for his efforts and also led OutFox, the firm’s LGBTQ+ affinity group.
Prior to law school, Jake worked as a college admission counselor and led an effort that resulted in the University of Iowa becoming the first public university to add LGBTQ+ identity questions to its admission applications to better connect new students with campus resources, for which he received the Diversity Catalyst Award. Jake currently serves on the board of Pride Wide and previously served on the SF LGBT Center board of directors.
Jake holds a JD from American University Washington College of Law and a BA in German and Religious from the University of Iowa. He lives in New York City with his husband, Michael, and rescue pup, Bella.
