Lexi Purich Howard (she/her) is an attorney at the Department of Water Resources Office of the General Counsel for the State of California. Before that, she served as attorney in the Legal Affairs Office of the California Secretary of State and was previously in private practice as a real estate and business attorney. Prior to that (during and after law school), Lexi was a public policy advocate and lobbyist, representing businesses and trade associations, with a focus on real estate, business, and the judiciary. For nearly twenty-six years before that, Lexi was a title insurance and settlement services (escrow) provider for a national title insurance and financial services firm. Lexi also serves as the Chair of the McGeorge Diversity Board and on the Boards of the McGeorge Capital Center Advisory Board; SacLegal, Sacramento’s LGBTQ+ Bar Association; the Sacramento LGBT Community Center; and as a founding member and advisor to the Disability Inclusivity Bar Association of Sacramento (DIBAS). Lexi serves as a mentor to law students as well as to high school students in Sacramento’s public schools.
