Melissa Gohlke (she/her) is a partner in Cooley LLP’s Washington DC office. Her practice focuses on the defense of companies and their executives in complex criminal and civil investigations by federal, state, and foreign authorities, including the DOJ, SEC, CFTC, and states Attorneys General. She has had a leadership role in some of the most high-profile investigations of the last decade and has extensive experience in cross-border matters. She also regularly provides crisis management advice on legal and reputational issues, including conducting internal investigations and advising on ongoing compliance risk. Melissa has a robust pro-bono practice focusing primarily on civic engagement and voting rights issues, as well as asylum and immigration.
