Pamela Brantley Dunnings (she/her) is the Director of Engagement & Community Development at Bracewell LLP. In her role, she leads her firm’s cultural and belonging initiatives, community outreach and volunteer programs, and serves on Bracewell’s pro bono committee. Previously, Pamela was an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in that firm’s Corporate Restructuring and Litigation Departments. Pamela graduated from the University of Michigan Law School and also earned a Master in Theological Studies from Southern Methodist University. Based in Houston, Pamela is active in many local community organizations including the Houston Bar Association’s LGBTQ+ Committee (2025/2026 and 2026/2027 co-chair) and Advancing Belonging & Cultures Committee, the Asian American Bar Association of Houston’s Pro Bono Committee, the Houston Pro Bono Joint Initiative, the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce, the Stonewall Law Association of Greater Houston, and Lambda Legal’s Houston Leadership Council. She is also a member of the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals. Having led recruiting at an AMLaw 100 firm’s headquarter office, Pamela is also passionate about mentoring law students and supporting organizations that provide assistance to first-generation professionals who are interested in legal careers. Pamela is married to her wife, Malissa, and they have three beautiful children and one adorable fur baby named Tempo.
