ABOUT TAMARA
Tamara Peterson (she/her) is Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel in the U.S. Bank Law Division where she leads the global team of legal professionals supporting the Wealth Management and Investment Services businesses at U.S. Bank, including Global Corporate Trust, Global Fund Services, Institutional Trust & Custody, U. S. Bancorp Asset Management, and Wealth Management (Personal Trust, Private Banking, U.S. Bancorp Investment Services, and U.S. Bancorp Advisors).
Prior to joining U.S. Bank in 2021, Tamara held various roles in the Wells Fargo Legal Department and Wealth Management business, after starting her career in private practice focused on trusts and estates. She has advised corporate entities for more than two decades about legal and regulatory matters related to wealth management, fiduciary services, and investment activities, and was named one of Minnesota Lawyer’s 2025 Top Women in Law.
Tamara has been committed to furthering inclusion within corporate America, the legal profession, and the Twin Cities community throughout her career. She currently serves as a Co-Executive Sponsor of the U.S. Bank Law Division Community of Respect and Engagement (CoRE) Program and the Global Board Executive Advisor for the U.S. Bank Spectrum LGBTQ+ Business Resource Group and previously served as the Enterprise President of Wells Fargo’s LGBTQ+ employee group, PRIDE. Tamara has spoken about issues of fairness and inclusion at various local and national conferences, including Out & Equal’s Workplace Summit and ROMBA’s Out Women in Business.
Tamara earned her J.D. degree cum laude from the University of Minnesota and holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She lives in the Twin Cities with her wife, Denise, and their rescue dog, Lil.
