    1. Does your law school intentionally seek out LGBTQ+ prospective students?
    Yes
    a. If so, how and where are your efforts directed?

    We send representatives to meet with prospects and encourage visits to the Law School including programs such as our Diversity & Inclusion Law Day held on November 10, 2018.  The Opening Session speaker and representatives on both the student and alumni panels self-identified with LGBTQ+.

    Our “Email a Student” webpage identifies a diverse list of students with their William & Mary Involvement and members of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, Equality Alliance, and Journal of Race, Gender and Social Justice are included.

    We send numerous emails to CRS prospects and encourage all to read our admission blog and student organization web pages where diverse students, activities, and organizations are featured.

    2. Does your law school's welcome packet for admitted students include mention of identity group support for LGBTQ+ students, as well as for students of color or other minorities?
    Yes

    Our admit packet includes the law school viewbook and references student organizations and all information on the web including student life, student organizations, and the variety of activities and programs available for our students, including those who identify with particular affinity groups. If admitted students agree to be contacted, we also connect admitted students with current students who identify with particular identity groups, including LGBTQ+ students and our Equality Alliance student group.

    3. Does your school offer students the option to self-identify as LGBTQ+ in admissions applications or post-enrollment forms?
    Yes
    4. Does your law school offer transgender students who have not legally changed their names the ability to have their name of choice on admission applications or post enrollment forms?
    Yes

    This is available on the application.

    5. Does your law school provide any annual scholarships specifically for LGBTQ+ students?
    Yes
    6. Does your law school provide funding, including travel support, for LGBTQ+ students to participate in LGBTQ+-focused learning and career services opportunities?
    No
    a. If so, please provide details and examples of when and how those opportunities have been utilized.

    No, the law school has not traditionally provided funding specifically for LGBTQ+ students to participate in LGBTQ+ focused events. However, our LGBTQ+ students regularly have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of diversity- and minority-related career and job fairs, including, but not limited to, the Southeast Minority Job Fair (SEMJF), the Delaware Minority Job Fair, and the Lavender Law Career Fair. Our LGBTQ+ students also have the opportunity to apply for hundreds of diversity-focused summer internships through pipeline programs such as the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s 1L Scholars Program and the Association of Corporate Counsel National Capital Region’s Corporate Scholars Program.

    7. Does your law school actively seek to employ diverse staff/faculty/administrators, including visible, out LGBTQ+ individuals?
    Yes

    The College of William & Mary values diversity and invites applications from underrepresented groups who will enrich the research, teaching and service missions of the university. The College is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer and encourages applications from women, minorities, protected veterans, and individuals with disabilities. This statement is included in all of our employment postings, which are shared through our own website, and also in such publications and websites as The Chronicle of Higher Education and the AALS.

    This semester, for the first time, a faculty member is teaching Law & Sexuality. We have often offered Women & the Law.

    Yes

    Both.

    The Law School recently created an Inclusion Task Force which will, between now and June 30, 2019, engage in inquiries intended to explore how we are meeting our goal that every member of the William & Mary Law School community feels welcomed, respected, and valued.
