All of our hiring announcements specify that we seek a diverse pool, and depending on the position we circulate hiring announcements to websites and email lists for diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ people.

Our building has two bathrooms marked all genders. Penn State University also has a policy that students, staff, faculty, and visitors may use the restroom or facility that is consistent with their gender identity.

As of the fall of 2018, the law school has an Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion, meant to be a clear contact point for students and student groups to support an inclusive school environment.
Our application asks an optional question where applicants can discuss their sexual orientation and/or gender identity if they so choose. Admitted students who have identified themselves as members of the LGBTQ+ community receive specific outreach from Outlaw. We also have a variety of outreach efforts to diverse student populations, including LGBTQ+ students.
