SC Law has appointed an Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion. The faculty member in this role is responsible for engaging students, staff, and faculty in order to foster an inclusive community at the law school. The Associate Dean’s role includes working to enhance recruitment, retention, and success of faculty and staff, especially faculty and staff who are women and members of underrepresented groups, helping to develop diversity initiatives such as faculty training in inclusive pedagogies, and developing strategies to promote diversity and inclusion in the student body. This individual also works with the University chief diversity officer and other academic diversity officers to support University equity, inclusion, and diversity efforts.
