The University of Georgia School of Law offers the Stonewall Scholarship for students who will contribute significantly to the diversity of the law school student body because they have demonstrated leadership in matters of concern to lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender individuals, or they have worked to build or are able to describe how they plan to advance LGBTQ+ persons’ full equality or dignity during their careers as lawyers.
Members of the University of Georgia School of Law’s OUTLaw organization, a student group that represents LGBTQ+ law students and allies, regularly participate in the recruiting process by attending various recruiting events and sharing their experiences with prospective students.
Students can enter a preferred name that appears in the student directory, class rolls, and the university-wide student information database. Students can also self-identify when they create a profile with the Career Development Office.
