The Michael A. Zamperini/W. Clay Burchell Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a gay or lesbian law student who is beginning his or her final fall semester. This scholarship is awarded based on overall academic achievement and academic performance in the Writing & Research courses. An essay is required with the application.
We recruit through affinity bar groups, locally and nationally.
We treat married spouses the same, regardless of gender.
Students are provided 2 free sessions of counseling through Meta Health.
We have 4 single-occupancy unisex bathrooms in the facility, and they are fully ADA compliant. The signage currently reflects the “unisex & disabled” symbol, which is soon to be changed to “all-gender” signage to better identify each bathroom. Given the relatively small size of the facility, other than for architectural floor plans, there are no building maps that are distributed.
Sexual Orientation and the Law, Law and Gender, and International and Comparative LGBTQ+ Constitutional Issues.
We provide scholarships to the Lavender Law Conference and the Williams Institute Conference and moot court competition.
We assign harassment training to all employees every 2 years.
We provide funding for speakers and conferences related to LGBTQ issues. GGU School of Law was the institutional recipient of the AALS 2021 LGBTQ+ Inclusive Excellence Award.
