Penn State Dickinson Law actively recruits LGBTQ+ applicants through intentional outreach. Applicants are given the opportunity to self-identify on the admissions application as LGBTQ+. Our institution uses that information to connect matriculating students to mentors, resources, and organizations.
The admissions application allows students to identify as LGBTQ+. We also welcome diversity addendums should a student want to share more about their experiences and potential contributions to the law school.
The data is collected at the time of admission. The data can change as students grow personally after applying. On average, 20% of the students in our entering classes identify as LGBTQ+.
Penn State Dickinson Law adheres to the University’s nondiscrimination policies and follows best practices to diversify the pool of candidates for each open position. A number of faculty and staff openly identify as LGBTQ+.
