Yes, our law school does allow for students who have not legally changed their name to reflect their preferred name on their application. The SULC application has an option for all students to indicate their preferred name under the “preferred name” slot.

SULC provides incoming students with information regarding safe spaces for members of the LGBTQ+ community. At the admissions level, we resource speakers to present on various aspects of the safe spaces that can be established at the Law Center, and we provide additional conversations for students to express additional concerns related to their needs related to this topic.
Our efforts for recruiting LGBTQ+ students are stimulated, primarily, through our use of the Candidate Referral Service. This database allows us to inform those who self-identify of the various events and programs we have specifically relating to this topic.
